The British Red Cross offers free online workshops and resources to help build skills and confidence to save lives. These courses are suitable for everyone, from parents and caregivers to workplace employees and community volunteers.

A workshop where students will learn essential first aid skills. We will help them to build the confidence and willingness to help someone in an emergency, using everyday objects.

These free workshops do not give you a first aid qualification, but equip you with basic skills to help in a first aid emergency. Online and face-to-face sessions are available for adults and youth people (ages 10+).
Whether you need to learn first aid for work or want to know how to help friends and family, find a course to suit you. These Red Cross Training courses require payment, but offer a qualification upon completion.
First Aid Champions is a first aid teaching site for learners aged 5-18. First Aid Champions can be used by all schools in the UK to teach the skills children and young people need to save a life.

1. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): Learn how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants, including chest compressions and rescue breaths.
2. Managing Medical Emergencies: Gain knowledge on how to recognize and respond to medical emergencies such as heart attacks, strokes, and allergic reactions.
3. Treating Injuries: Learn how to assess and provide first aid for wounds, burns, fractures, sprains, and other common injuries.
4. Choking Response: Understand how to help someone who is choking, including techniques for dislodging an obstruction from the airway.
5. Using Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs): Gain confidence in using AEDs to deliver life-saving shocks to individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
Red Cross first aid training emphasizes practical, hands-on learning. Participants have the opportunity to practice essential first aid skills in simulated scenarios, allowing them to apply their knowledge in a supportive environment.
